HIATS
(Human Inspired Autonomous Truck System)
We are developing autonomous truck system that is based on inspirations from human cognitive system and mostly the ability of understanding others’ mental state that is called “Theory of Mind”. The Theory of mind, broadly refers to humans’ ability to represent the mental states of others, including their desires, beliefs, and intentions. We have developed such ability for our HIATS, that it can interpret others’ actions based on their mental vector, instead of just motion forecasting. That’s why we call our product NOROn (nyuor·ron) the basic element of human cognitive system. Our SaaS product has four modules that you can see the details below.
NOROn SaaS Ecosystem
AI-Powered Perception
NOROn Mind is the software stack that is responsible for all required cognitive tasks in driving . We are developing NOROn Mind based on direct inspirations from human cognitive system. NOROn Mind works in any road condition properly and can adapt itself with any driving culture.
Locallization and Mapping
Localization and Mapping module, is based on three components. The most important component is mine’s detailed 3d map that is extracted via LiDARs and GNSS. When perception happens, this module will put the results, mine’s map and GNSS data together, and gives the exact location of Dump Truck with the help of a simple kalman filter algorithm.
Robotic Actuators
Robotics Actuators is responsible for harnessing the truck and controlling it in order to implement the AI module Commands.
Fleet Analytics Platform
Fleet Analytics Platform, is the management module that provides aggregated behavioral data of all drivers and trucks in the fleet. This module helps fleet managers to analyze their fleet on a daily manner and define some policies for improving the efficiency of whole fleet.
AI-Powered Perception
Perception module consists of software stack, sensory array and processing hardware that is responsible for all required cognitive tasks in driving. We are developing the Perception module based on direct inspirations from human cognitive system.
Also this is a scheme of NOROn cognitive architecture that explains how NOROn AI module makes decisions in a roughly manner.
The sensory array helps the system to see the world and implement the decisions that has been made from AI modules. This Sensory array, mainly relies on vision and specifically stereo cams that you can see on the picture. Also for safety reasons and improving the accuracy, we’re going to add LIDARs to our product.
