Perception Engineer

Job Description:

The NOROn develops cutting edge technologies to basically help our truck perceive the world. You will lead a team effort in applying state-of-the-art deep learning/machine learning algorithms on terabytes of data and deploying the algorithms onto on-truck platforms.

Example projects that you will be working on:

  • Deep learning module training/inference acceleration
  • Deep learning module deployment on various GPU and hardware platforms
  • Deep learning module integration process including network quantization, TensorRT, unit test, and CI pipeline

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the engineering efforts of deep learning modules including onboard integration process, passing criteria and code qualities
  • Participate in the development of the engineering projects and pioneering in solving the hard problems encountered
  • (Optional) Build up roadmaps for improvement of internal deep learning related tools/libraries, track the development, and scale up the team to support it

Qualifications:

  • M.S./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or other related fields
  • 3+ years of industrial working experience in deep learning/perception related topics, including detection, segmentation, sensor fusion, and tracking
  • Familiar with deep learning training/inference acceleration including network pruning, quantization, and GPU optimization
  • Familiar with deep learning training/deployment libraries such as MXNET/PyTorch/TensorRT/ONNX
  • Proficiency in modern container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong coding skills in CUDA, C/C++, and Python
  • Ability to resolve ambiguity and collect feature requirements and feedback from users
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues quickly and effectively

Preferred:

  • Experience in building up automation framework of unit tests, integration tests, CI/CD (eg, Jenkins)
  • Having a degree from SUT, AUT, UT, IUST or KNTU is a plus

NOROn is seeking a full-time Android Engineer to join our team for developing leading technical solutions native to Android Platforms, unleashing the best possible user experience in that environment. You will work directly with product manager, perception engineer and robotics engineer in an integrated approach towards a unified product. The ideal candidate has several years of experience gained by working in similar academic applications or industry.

Role responsibilities:

  • Validate the feasibility of challenging requirements.
  • Integrate in-vehicle hardware modules.
  • Design and implement SDKs.
  • Implement high quality, maintainable and test-driven code.
  • Reproduce, troubleshoot and fix user issues.
  • Quick development of prototypes and concept apps.
  • Integrating in-app AI modules.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related field
  • 3+ years experience in Android application development
  • Strong object-oriented software development experience

Robotics Engineer

Job Description:

NOROn is looking for a full-time Robotics Engineer to join our NOROn Eye team and help us providing hardware requirements of NOROn product.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Own the development and integration of autonomous driving sensors into the NOROn system. Sensors include LIDAR, RADAR, Cameras and others. 
  • Lead the sensor landscape benchmarking for autonomous driving sensors.
  • Perform multimodal sensor calibration including but not limited to LiDARs, Cameras & RADARs
  • Lead sensor projects through all phases from initial concept evaluation, selection, component level testing, integration, vehicle build, testing, and customer field follow
  • Own the development and integration of communication protocols between our trucks

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Robotics or related field
  • Experience with Automotive CAN, Ethernet, PTP Time Synchronization, Python, Data collection, and Data Analysis

Role responsibilities:

Design and develop an internal simulation infrastructure that allows large-scale training and testing of our AI algorithms in a virtual environment, including:

  • Models of vehicle dynamics, sensors, different parts of operational environment, and other agents
  • Tooling allowing post-run analysis and visualization of results
  • Tooling supporting scenario creation and maintenance
  • Tooling supporting scalable deployment in cloud environments and CI/CD integration
